Dr. Hysong was born and raised in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1980. In 1981, Dr. Hysong completed a General Practice Residency Program at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. During his residency, he received extensive training in all aspects of dentistry, with a specific focus on medically compromised patients. Following his postgraduate studies, Dr Hysong was a member of a group general practice until 1995, at which time he met his partner, Dr. Lynda LePore. Together, they opened their own general dental practice, Colesville Dentistry.

Dr. Hysong was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Southern Maryland Dental Society. The Check Book Magazine recently named him as one of “Washington Area’s Top Dentists”.

Dr. Hysong has particular expertise and interest in Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry. He has attended and participated in numerous continuing educational courses and seminars including the Las Vegas Institute Regional Seminar for Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. Lynda LePore graduated from West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1982. Upon receiving her Dental Degree, she was accepted into a year long hospital based General Dentistry Residency program in York, PA. She trained in Advanced General Dentistry, Emergency room dental care for the young and elderly, Sedation dentistry, and care of the medically compromised patient. Following her residency, she practiced in Harrisburg, PA.

 Dr. LePore relocated after marriage and spent ten years working in a practice with another general dentist who primarily practiced sedation dentistry. After meeting her partner, Dr. Greg Hysong, they opened their own private practice in 1995, in Silver Spring, MD. Their practice quickly grew, and is now located in a new, larger, state of the art office in Colesville, MD.
